Hi,
This website really got me started looking up. I really like the Iridium flare predictions.
By putting in your co-ordinates (i got mine from Google Earth) it will predict satellite passes, iridium flares etc. Cool stuff.

Enjoy, bye |

| Nice find Norbs I didn't realise just how frequent satellites pass. Can't wait to try it but it's another cloudy night tonight. Everythin crossed for tomorrow. |

I found the Heavens-Above site very useful too, but it is also good to know the best way to spot Iridium's as they are about to flare. I found the best way is to look for a satelite traveling toward the location that the site gives and wait for it to flare.
At first I was just waiting for the flare without realising that the satelite was likely to be visible and that I could be looking at exactly the right spot when it flared, which is obviously far more impressive. On Monday this week a very bright one passed through Cassiopeia and I was able to say exactly where my son should look and he could follow it into the flare long before the actual flare occurred. |
