Hi
My Revelation 8 dobsonian was a little top heavy at lower altitudes which was a little frustrating. I have read other mods that involve counter weights but I decided to try felt in the space between the alt's plastic bearings. It required two layers but it worked and gives just enough friction to solve the problem without being too jerky.
I think I may try this on the azimuth also.
Hope it helps. |

I like the felt idea. I will have to give that a try. _________________ John & Brenda from Appleton, Wisconsin, USA using a Zhumell Z10 Deluxe Dobsonian Reflector Telescope. |
