hi there, just wandering if someone could give me advise on the Skywatcher Skyliner 200P Parabolic Telescope, iv asked around other forums and many people are recomending it to me, what type of views im i likely to gt from it when looking at planets and also nebula and other dso, also iv heard alot about collimation, and i really cant gt my head around it, does this scope need this a lot or just once every so often, also could someone give me an idea what size this is, as storage could be an issue, other scopes iv been recommended is a Skywatcher EXPLORER-150PL, but was told his needed collimated alot
thanks amatuer |

You won't be disappointed with the Skyliner 200P. It has great all round capabilities, both deepsky and planetary views are top notch. Although i love it most for the planetary views.
Had both the 150PL and 200P, neither needed much in the way of collimation unless being manhandled into a car a lot.
Are there downsides? Yes, a couple.
The base needs some tweaking for really smooth movements. The usual things of adding some Ebony Star and milk bottle washers to the azimuth is all.
And being an F6, some of the real cheap widefield eyepieces will not like being used with the 200P. But semi-decent (Hyperion, Meade 5000 etc) eyepieces will work well.
That's my own personal take from having owned the 200P for 2 years.
